Poem: Morning Porch

Clouds line sky
blue surrounds
They are encrusted with
            bright gold and white
            light
Trees with
dripping moss
ornaments of Florida
I love
to be here
with You
want
to view
and breathe in
and sing
how You teach me
faithfully in
Your eternal Words,
my life

Why
would a rebel
dumb sheep
foolish child
slow student,
less than faithful
bride
be seated with You
and You seated in me?
I never deserved
this
yet will forever
need
Your grace and peace
renewed
every morning.
